Retreat At Last

by jtaylor on May 19, 2011

Sometimes life gets too busy, and this month is definitely one of them. I’ve been busy running the kids from one thing to the next (it seems everything comes to a head in May), and Mr. T. has even been helping out with some of that. I’ve had a few miscellaneous things I’ve had to work on, and my man has been working really long hours lately…it seems we just don’t see each other any more. We go to bed at night completely exhausted, and quickly fall to sleep. It’s time for project reconnect.

So this weekend the hubster and I are going to be doing some of this:

…and probably some of this:

…and even watching one of these shows:

I’m hoping we throw in some of this, even if it ends up being by “window”:

And for sure we’ll be doing a lot of this:

…because getting away is one of the ways that we reconnect. How about you? Do you have tips or tricks to help you stay connected as a couple?

Good for you!  I’ve NEVER gotten “away” with my husband…so I’m very impressed!

Really? Shoot…I can’t handle not getting away. Even something cheap like
driving to St. George and staying for a night or two works wonders for me.
:) I hope you guys can get away some time soon!

Sometimes I like to write little notes to my husband and stick them in places aka truck, bedside stand, mirror  in the bathroom, etc.  If anything it puts a smile on his face and reminds him that I love him and that I appreciate all he does for our family.

    That’s a great idea Char!
